Sightings

'Industrial Sewing Machine' was written on the tag.

The graphics made it look more like a portable model for home use. I asked at the Antique Shop but no one knew the history.

A girlfriend is about to embark on a sewing journey - she just purchased a sewing machine and will be signing up for a class to take very soon. I found this artistic 'blank' card at a local Hallmark Store and thought it was the perfect card to send. I went online to find the card/link but did not find it available there. I especially like the butterflies and the cute button in the upper left corner.

This decal was spotted on the back window of a car. As I looked around the parking lot to see who it might belong to, I wondered what project(s) the owner might be working on. We hovered nearby for a few minutes but the clouds were moving in and we went back inside as another downpour began.

Have you heard of Me Made May '18? From their sign-up page:

Me-Made-May'18 (#MMMay18 for social media interaction) is a challenge designed to encourage people who sew/knit/crochet/refashion/upcycle garments for themselves to wear and love them more. This challenge works on both a personal and community level. The participants decide the specifics of their own challenge, so that the month is appropriate and challenging for them (more on this below), and aim to fulfil that pledge for the duration of May 2018. Some participants also choose to document their challenge photographically (though this is in no way compulsory for taking part) and share them with other participants.

How are you doing on your 100-day or 365-day Challenge? I will post progress again on Day 126 (the first Sunday of May). The colorful buttons are stored in small bowls.

A few are then sorted out into colors and checked to see if any are duplicates:

And, finally added to the appropriate color grouping:

We are 1/3 of the way through this 365-day Challenge. How is your progress?

Happy Spring to you!
