Quilt Top & an Antique Find

This quilt is coming along as I continue to work on the second of four quilt tops, described from one of The Fours, for a hurricane recipient.

With fabrics cut, I've been sewing in assembly-line fashion to get the blocks completed:

However, with one stack the triangles were seemingly cut the wrong size. Not a problem, those blocks have been reconfigured and look like this:

Placed on-point, the blocks will resemble those in the free quilt block from Generations Quilt Patterns. The patterns here are for "your personal use only. You'll find illustrated directions for cutting and piecing your favorite patchwork block. Click on the Pattern Library icon below to begin your search for quilt block inspirations. The free quilt block are listed in alphabetical order by their most common name. The sizes listed are the Finished Sizes - most blocks do include multiple sizes. There are free downloads to print for any templates or paper pieced units mentioned in the instructions. Just click on the image to get the accompanying instructions."

My guide is the "At the Depot Quilt Block":

After a pancake breakfast and a quick visit with a neighbor, we stopped at a local antique shop to check out a sewing machine. Signage indicated the cabinet was a Singer but after moving items from in front, a White brand was revealed.

The drawers were in good condition and I was surprised to see the spool holder tray intact:

There were too many heavy items on top of the cabinet but this useful inlaid ruler detail was peeking through:

We returned home and I took a cuppa to my studio and quilted the rest of the day away - yay!

I've added today's stitch (#28) to my embroidery hoop canvas. I will be posting progress on my 365 Project (Buttons & Stitches), once a month.

How are your projects progressing in this New Year?

XOXOX

I love your quilt block colors and pattern! Also, it is wonderful that you found such a fantastic antique. Deana 3/13/2018

Thank you, Deana. I am hoping to finish this quilt in the next few days and work on two others to complete by spring. Best of luck to you on your 15 Minutes to Stitch Challenge!
